The Beauty of an Autumn New England Elopement in Centanni Park
New England is the perfect spot for a beautiful elopement – particularly in September. The weather couldn’t have been better – sunny and warm without being too hot! The vibrant fall colors in Centanni Park added an extra touch of magic, creating the perfect backdrop for Aimee and Denis’s romantic and intimate elopement. Whether you’re surrounded by colorful autumn leaves or taking in the beauty of the botanical garden, Centanni Park is definitely a top pick for a beautiful Boston elopement during the fall.
Aimee and Denis’s Boston Elopement Timeline
An Intimate First Look
The day began with Aimee and Dennis sharing their first look at Discovery Park, where Dennis couldn’t help but repeatedly express how amazing Aimee looked. It was SO adorable. Following this heartfelt moment, we captured some stunning bridal portraits surrounded by the park’s scenic beauty.
First looks can be intimate and special because they offer a private moment and allow you to connect deeply and genuinely without distractions or interruptions. This initial glance often captures raw emotions, anticipation, and the excitement of seeing each other for the first time on a significant occasion, making it a cherished memory to later look back on.
A Heartfelt Boston Elopement Ceremony
Next, we headed to the ceremony location – Centanni Park in Cambridge, where their closest friends waited for them. Everyone there participated in the ceremony by briefly holding the rings, symbolizing their collective role in nurturing the couple’s relationship. They shared hopeful wishes, passing the rings along, and celebrating in cheers as Aimee and Dennis were pronounced husband and wife.
Centanni Park in Cambridge, MA
Centanni Park celebrates the Italian tradition of the “cent’anni” toast, symbolizing wishes for good health and a prosperous future. Nestled in East Cambridge, this peaceful park is ideal for an intimate New England elopement. It’s conveniently located in the courtyard of the Cambridge Multicultural Arts building, adding to its charm and ambiance.
For those planning to drive, street parking in Cambridge is mainly permit-only, making it a bit challenging. A handy parking option is the First Street Garage, located close to the park, with rates starting at $6.
Adventuring in Boston, MA
After capturing joyful moments with their community of friends, we went on an adventure in downtown Boston. The day ended with another set of bridal portraits, this time in an urban setting, offering a fresh vibe from the earlier park scenes. Aimee and Dennis planned their special day with meaningful and genuine moments. I’m truly honored they chose me to be part of it, trusting me to document their elopement.
One of the things I love most about capturing New England elopements is the freedom they offer couples to make it truly their own. These intimate weddings often strip away the distractions, putting the spotlight squarely on the couple and their love. It’s a sweet reminder of what truly matters, with the focus on the genuine connection between two people rather than getting caught up in the “little details” that might not hold as much significance to the couple celebrating their special day.
