Spring at Harvard Arnold Arboretum: Blooms, Drizzle, and Umbrella Fun
Spring at the Arboretum is a burst of color with blooming flowers and budding trees. I had such a blast working with Yuliana and Marlin during this season. Even though we had a light drizzle, they were all smiles. We made the most of it by incorporating umbrellas into our shots, adding a fun and unique touch to their photos. The rain actually made the colors pop even more, giving their session a fresh, vibrant feel.
For spring sessions, we usually start at the Visitor Center and then wander into the park. With so many paths and trails, we can easily find quiet spots and avoid crowds. The blooming flowers and fresh leaves make for an amazing, natural backdrop for your spring engagement photos in Boston.
Summer at Harvard Arnold Arboretum: Sun-Kissed Greenery and Golden Hours
When summer rolls around, the Arboretum turns into a lush green paradise! The full-leafed trees offer a cool, shaded escape from the warm sunlight. I had a wonderful time with Morgan and Joseph during the summer. We chased the setting sun and played around with different angles and directions. The warm summer light combined with the beautiful greenery created a gorgeous setting for their photos.
Summer sessions are great because the sun sets later, giving us more time to capture that golden hour glow. I like to start at the Visitor Center and explore the park’s trails, finding spots with beautiful lighting with the sun peaking through the trees!
