Celebrating Dalida and Fally’s Engagement
Even though Dalida and Fally grew up in the same city and went to the same high school, their paths never crossed until they started dating while at different colleges. Now, I’m so excited to have the chance to capture their love as they prepare for their upcoming wedding!
I first met Dalida and Fally at a wedding where she was one of the bridesmaids, and I thought they were so adorable and sweet! Turns out, she was just as impressed with me, and they reached out for their engagement session. When we got together, it felt like catching up with good friends, and by the end of the session, it felt like we’d known each other for years — which is always the goal when I am working with couples!! Wingaersheek Beach Summer Engagement Session
Location: 0.6-mile long beach located on the Annisquam River in West Gloucester, Massachusetts
Operating Hours: 8:00am-9:00pm
Sunrise or Sunset: the perfect location to take in the Cape Ann sunset!
Dalida and Fally were super excited to have their adorable dog join their photo session, and I was totally on board! I’m a big dog lover, so I was so happy to see their cute pup, who was not only charming but also a great listener! Having their dog there made the session even more special and personal. Plus, Wingaersheek Beach lets dogs go off-leash all day on odd-numbered days, which was perfect for those extra special shots!
What to Wear to Your Beach Engagement Photos on Wingaersheek Beach
For a beach engagement session, keep these tips in mind for a comfortable and stylish look:
1. Light Clothing: Choose lightweight, breathable materials like cotton or linen.
2. Colors: Opt for soft, neutral shades or pastels that complement the beach setting.
3. Patterns: Stick to subtle patterns or solids to avoid distracting from the scenery.
4. Footwear: Go barefoot or wear sandals; avoid heels that might sink into the sand.
5. Layering: Bring a light cover-up for cooler moments – especially if considering a sunrise/sunset photoshoot.
6. Accessories: Keep jewelry minimal and avoid flashy items.
7. Hair and Makeup: Go for a natural, beachy look with soft waves and light makeup.
8. Coordination: Coordinate outfits with your partner rather than matching exactly.
9. Time of Day: Choose colors that complement the light at sunrise or sunset.
10. Practicality: Ensure your outfit is comfortable and suitable for the beach environment.

Dalida and Fally were a joy to work with—so playful and completely in love! Their passion was contagious, and I barely needed to direct them. They just did their own thing, and I kept snapping away. I picked out the best spots with great lighting and few crowds, but they took care of the rest with just a bit of guidance. They weren’t afraid to be silly or move quickly, and I was right there with them. We had such a blast that we ended up shooting into blue hour!
